Irrigation water management workshop

An irrigation water management workshop will be held in Green River, Aug. 23, from 9-11:30 am, in the Green River City Hall. The purpose of the workshop is to assist agricultural producers in understanding soil, water, plant relationships, operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, Federal incentive programs, record keeping and irrigation scheduling. This workshop is designed to help producers complete the IWM component of 2004-2006 EQIP contracts. Workshops have also been tentatively scheduled for Sept. 12 and Oct. 3 in Carbon County and western Emery County.
