The Primal Quest endurance race which began in Emery County on June 25 will air on ESPN2 the week of Oct. 9. The race will feature the tough terrain of Emery County at its best. For 10 non-stop days, some of the best multi-sport athletes on the planet battled 110 F degree heat, blistering sand, and 450+ miles of brutal, unforgiving Utah terrain. Ninety co-ed teams from 20 countries entered the competition. Some with the goal of winning and others just looking to survive the ultimate test of human endurance.

Narrated by James Denton of ABC's hit show Desperate Housewives, Primal Quest Utah will chronicle several teams' journey as they race against the clock, their competitors and the punishing forces of Mother Nature in an attempt to reach the finish line. Episode 2: Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. EST (ESPN2) Episode 3: Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. EST (ESPN2) Episode 4: Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. EST (ESPN2) Episode 5: Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. EST / 4 p.m. PST (ABC).
