On Nov. 4, the American Legion Auxiliary is doing a service project for the veterans in the VA Hospital. They will be tying lap quilts to be given to the veterans. Donations of fabric, completed blankets or lap quilts, or time to tie on that day, will be accepted. You do not have to be a member of the Legion to come out and help. The project will begin at 10 a.m. with a potluck luncheon at noon. Held at the American Legion Hall in Huntington (old city hall). Criteria for membership in the Legion is to be the wife, daughter, sister, or granddaughter of someone who has or is serving in the military. Step families are also eligible.
