Chris is a 1997 graduate of Emery High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in October of 1997 in the Security Forces. After four years of law enforcement and security duties, he furthered his career and is now stationed at Peterson Air Base, located in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he is a member of the 21st Security Forces Squadron.

Chris was stationed at Lakenheath Air Force Base, England with the 48th Security Forces from April 1998 to March 2002; Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho with the 366th Security Forces from March 2002 to August 2004, where he served on deployment for Operation Enduring Freedom at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait; and Osan Air Base, South Korea with the 51st Security Forces from August 2006 to August 2005. He has been on many secret service missions during his time as a military working dog handler to support security for the president, vice president and senators of the United States.

As a military working dog handler stationed in Iraq, Chris and his MWD Wodan play a vital role in the protection of Kirkuk Air Base. Wodan is a 5 year old, 100 pound German Shepherd, capable of explosive detection and attack work.

Chris and Wodan work hand in hand on a daily basis. They are the first line of defense to insure the safety of all personnel that are currently deployed there. They patrol fence lines and ensure only authorized personnel and equipment enter the installation.
