Seventh District Judicial
The Seventh District Judicial Nominating Commission has scheduled a meeting for Dec. 15 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Price Courthouse, 149 East 100 South. The purpose of the meeting is to nominate a candidate to replace Seventh District Court Judge Bruce Halliday who announced his retirement effective Feb. 16, 2007. Christmas Kool Aid
A Christian orphanage in Haiti with more than 100 children, many handicapped, is asking help by only sending four packages of Kool Aid. As a treat they like to give the children Kool Aid, especially around the holidays. CNS Flu Shot Clinic

West Valley City Police have a missing 12 year old female. Samanthia Lynn Stayton DOB-2-22-94. She is 4 feet 7 inches-4 feet 11 inches tall, 130-135 pounds, brown eyes/brown hair. Scar on left elbow. Last seen wearing brown pants, black beenie cap with white lettering, black gloves, lime green jacket, white tennis shoes and carrying a green backpack. Shuttle Service for Veterans
Donations would be greatly appreciated to help in purchasing a new minivan to transport disabled veterans to the Salt Lake Medical Center. The Dixie Chapter of the DAV is caretaker of the funds and has an account in Wells Fargo Bank to which donations may be made. All are tax deductible under the DAV Tax ID 8761512361. Orangeville Dog Licenses
Orangeville dog licenses are due for 2007. The cost is $8 for spayed or neutered dogs and $25 for non-altered dogs. Bring in current rabies information when licensing your dog. All dogs must be registered by March 1. Rabies clinics will be held Jan. 6 and Feb. 10 at the old fire station from 10 a.m.- 12 noon. Any questions call the city hall 748-2651.

Cleveland Angel Tree
Cleveland town will sponsor an angel tree again. If you know a needy person or family in our town, who needs to be put on the angel tree, please call the town hall 653-2310. If you would like to help by picking an angel from the tree and provide a gift for them, call or stop by the town hall during business hours, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Gifts need to be returned to the town office by Dec. 22.

Programs for High School Students
The Interamerican University studies Institute will offer two programs to Costa Rica and Pura Vida this summer. The programs are open to students between the ages of 15-17 who will have completed two years of high school Spanish by June. Scholarships are also available. Applications are due by Feb. 9, 2007. Habitat for Humanity of Castle Country is accepting home applications. Tip Line for Drug Violations
A tip line has been introduced in Emery County. The Emery County drug task force is requesting help from the residents to report any suspicious drug activity. The number is 381-2888, and all callers will remain anonymous. It is very important for citizens to be actively involved in helping remove drugs users and pushers from Emery County.

CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and, consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children.
