The Lalanney McDonald family shops with Sgt. Jeff Thomas at ALCO.

Six members of the Emery County Sheriff's Office were on hand at ALCO in Castle Dale to take several county children shopping. Capt. Kyle Ekker, Sgt. Martin Wilson, Deputy Tom Harrison, Deputy Jeff Thomas, Deputy KC Alton and Deputy John Barnett pushed carts and operated the calculator for Jared Brown, Tyler Brown, Kenneth Larsen, Kirk Freeman, Cody Lemmon, Jason Lemmon, and the three children in the Lalanney McDonald family.

Each child has an allotted amount of money to spend and the officers helped with selections and calculations. The Shop With a Cop program is funded by ALCO's cutest baby contest throughout the year and by private donations. Children are selected for the Shop With a Cop program by their teachers in school.
