On Jan. 18 there was a fatal car accident on SR-6 at milepost 283 at approximately 5 p.m. Jennifer Marie Daugherty, 20, from Grand Junction Colo. was heading westbound towards Price when her vehicle collided head-on with a semi-truck. It was reported she was driving a small Ford SUV.
The vehicle was reported to be in a hurry and making bad passes when it collided with the semi-truck head on. The Utah Highway Patrol investigated the accident and made notification to family members in Grand Junction. The accident occured on SR-6 approximately 10 miles north of Green River. Trooper Clarence Smith was the investigating trooper at the scene. The victim didn't appear to have her seat belt on reported troopers.
