James Byars of TRC Minerals presents the Emery Youth City Council with a donation from the members of Geneses, which is a company based in Japan. "To our young friends in Emery, The last four years we have been given a lot of courage and strength from the land of Emery. We would like to show our appreciation by contributing to the children and the youth of Emery," stated Geneses members on a plaque. The donation was in the amount of $1,500 which will help the youth buy items for their new community center, such as basketball hoops. TRC Minerals has also given $1,500 in donations to Emery Town throughout the year for activities.
Michael Williams Jr. read the plaque in honor of his father, Mayor Michael Williams who recently passed away. The plaque stated, "Emery Town Community Center, 2007. In memory of Mayor Mike. His devotion to the town of Emery will be remembered by all who use this building." The plaque will be hung in the new community center in his honor.

The Emery youth gathered at their new community center to celebrate and honor all the work the late Michael Williams did in order to get the community center for the town. The youth enjoyed the night by dancing, boxing and eating.
