A $750 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the illegal taking of a mature cow elk on the Manti unit of the Wasatch Plateau.

On or about June 22, a person with a bow illegally shot and left the cow elk. The location of the kill is just west of the North Skyline Drive road, approximately two miles north of the Gooseberry Reservoir turnoff.

An early 90s model silver Chevrolet extended cab pickup was observed near that area in the early morning of June 23. Three white males who appeared to be in their early 20s were in the vehicle. Division of Wildlife Resources officers wish to speak with these individuals or anyone who may have knowledge of this poaching incident.

If you have any information, call Investigator Roger Kerstetter at 435-636-0277 or the DWR "Help Stop Poaching" hotline at: 1-800-662-DEER. Callers may remain anonymous. All information will be held in strict confidentiality.
