Green River community center rocks out

School of Rock and summer meal program at GRCC

The Green River Community Center/Boys and Girls Club will host Summer School of Rock Summer Camp through June from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the center. Monday will be sports day and Fridays are service projects and water games. Each day's activities will begin at 9 a.m.

Also daily, from 2-5 p.m. Informed Teens will be held, with UHC book club at 5 p.m. on Monday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 2 p.m., there will be 4-H activities. On June 11, the sport will be archery, on June 18 it will be Zumba, and on June 25 the sport will be soccer. Another special activity will be bingo on June 27.

Monday through Friday from 3-5 p.m. Sixth Gear skating will be held. On June 14 at 3 p.m. movies will be shown and on June 21 at 3 p.m., there will be a Power Hour party.

The Friends of the Green River Positive Action Community Team announce the sponsorship of the summer food program to be facilitated at the Community Center/Boys and Girls Club of Green River. Free meals will be available to attending children.

Meals will be served at the Community Center/Boys and Girls Club of Green River in the Kid's Cafe through Aug. 22, in partnership with the summer food program Monday through Friday (except July 4 and 24) at the following times: morning snack-8:45-9 a.m. and lunch from noon-12:30 p.m. Dinner will be served in partnership with the Utah Food Bank Kid's Cafe from 4-4:30 p.m.
