| The Miss Utah contestants await the announcement of the preliminary winners. |
Two Emery County queens and one Carbon County queen participated in the Miss Utah pageant held at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake. Kristine Johansen as Miss Emery, Chelsea Killian as Miss Huntington and Miss Carbon Danielle Olsen spent a week in the state's capitol competing for the crown of Miss Utah.
This week long event consisted of three preliminary nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the final competition on Friday. Competition includes evening wear, interview, on-stage question and swimwear and fitness.
