Chandra Burnett

Chandra Leigh Burnett was born on Feb.28, 1988 and died on July 7, 2007 of injuries received in a vehicular accident. She was raised in Green River, Utah and graduated from Green River High School in 2006.

She worked at the West Winds Restaurant. Chandra's family and friends will miss her cheerful smile and playful, teasing spirit.

Chandra is survived by her mother, Marcia Cordingley; stepfather, Keith Cordingley; father, David Wilson; sisters, Kyleen, Sabra, and Angel; brothers, David, Richard, Nicholas, and Christopher; aunts, cousins and grandparents.

Funeral services were held on Fri., July 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the LDS Church in Green River. Interment was at the Elgin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chandra Funeral Fund at Key Bank.

Robert L. Burnside

Robert L. Burnside, age 66, of Las Vegas, Nev. passed away on July 14, 2007. He was born Nov. 26, 1940 in Huntington. Married Caral Wayman in 1959, they were sealed in the LDS Temple in 1990. He was a loving husband and a devoted father. His greatest enjoyment in life was being with his family. He retired from Kerr McGee Chemical Corporation.

He is survived by his wife Caral, son R. Mike (Shela) Burnside; daughter, Ronda (Ivan) Mitchell; mother, Irene Marshall; sisters, Pat Nemeyer and Sandra Jackson; brothers, Loren, Wayne and Jerry Marshall; nine grandchildren, Ariel (Brown), Corinna (Gil), Jesse, Jacob and Aaron Burnside; Andy, Shaun, Lorissa and Alisa Mitchell and two great-grandchildren, Elina and Noah Brown. He was preceded in death by daughter Lisa, father Mike Burnside and step-father Loren Marshall.

A viewing will be held on July 20 at the Huntington First Ward, 115 South 400 East from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on July 20 Burial at the Huntington City Cemetery.

Beth M. Zupon

HELPER- Our sweet mom and gramma, Beth Mutz Zupon passed away peacefully on July 15, 2007, at the age 84.

She was born in Helper, Utah on June 27, 1923 to wonderful parents Joseph and Sarah Jane Howard Mutz.

Beth was a graduate of Carbon High School and a longtime resident of Helper where she enjoyed working at various grocery stores in Helper. Beth and Johnnie Zupon were married on June 26, 1949 and together they spent many years working together, raising their family and traveling. Dad is now packing their motor home for Bootsie's next big adventure.

Mom lived a life of service to others and she loved her family unconditionally. In her younger years, her parents and in-laws were fortunate recipients of her generosity and many kind deeds. She held oodles of friends close to her heart and she loved gabbing on the phone, especially to her kids everyday. Mom was a splendid cook and she loved her gambling trips. Beth was an animal lover and she always spoiled her pets, especially her late Lhasa Apso, "Archie Boy".

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mom was very patriotic and she enjoyed her affiliation with the American Legion Auxiliary, Carbon Salon 8 & 40, and the Spring Glen Slovenian Home.

Survived by her daughter, Deborah Zupon, Sandy; son, John B. (Dee) Zupon, Chandler, Ariz.; grandsons, Tyson and Trevor Noyes, both of Sandy; granddaughter, Jamie Blackmer, Chandler, Ariz.; special daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn (Dominic) DeRose, Centerville; their children, Jon and James DeRose, both of Farmington, Christy DeRose, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and grandchildren, Kylie DeRose, Syracuse; Alexus DeRose, Centerville; sister, Beverly Brinley, Kent, Wash.; brothers, Ronald Mutz, Helper; Marvin (Kenna) Mutz, Price.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter; brother, Buster; sisters, Adaline Morrison, Margaret Taylor, and Annie Mutz.

Beth's family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Max Morgan and the staff at Sandy Regional Care Center, especially Kerry, Juan and Esmerelda.

Graveside service will be held Thurs., July 19, 2007, 1:30 p.m., Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday from 12-1:00 p.m. where friends are welcome to join the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Carbon County Humane Society.
