Truck catches fire in Huntington

According to Detective Jeff Thomas on the morning of July 18 at 2 a.m. a 911 call came in to dispatch which reported that a truck was on fire behind BK's Stop and Shop in Huntington. The sheriff's office and the fire department responded to the scene and the fire was extinquished. Detective Thomas reported there were suspicious circumstances and the fire is under investigation as a suspected arson. Detective Thomas is working on the case and the state fire marshal also visited the scene. The vehicle is owned by D and R Distributing of Huntington. Detective Thomas said a driver in a Savage truck reported the fire. He asks that if anyone saw any suspicious activity that evening behind BK's to call the Emery County Sheriff's Office with any information. The number is 381-2404.
