LaVee Young Wilde

PRICE-LaVee Young Wilde, age 84 passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007 at Castleview Hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1922 in Huntington, Utah to Guy L. Young and Mable Leonard Young. LaVee graduated from North Emery High School in 1941 where she received a special award in music. She married William Bert Wilde, March 1, 1942 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, Temple. He died June 25, 1993.

LaVee was a devoted member of the LDS Church. During her life time she fill numerous church positions, including, meeting house librarian, ward librarian and served as a name extractor, extracting more than 20,000 names. LaVee devoted her life to teaching, helping and serving others, she worked as an LPN for 20 years. She lived most of her life in Carbon and Emery counties. She loved her yard, flowers, music, singing in ward and stake choirs all of her life. LaVee enjoyed oil painting for herself and family, but most of all she loved her home and her family.

LaVee is survived by her two sons, Rodney (Bonnie) Wilde of Price and Jan Wilde of Price; brothers and sisters, Bernice Nelson of California, Alice Conover of Ferron, Kent (Charlotte) Young of Price, Bevan (Yvone) Young of Price, Willard (Jean) Young of Huntington; grandsons, Derek Wilde, Brian Wilde both of Price, Brandon (Amber) Wilde of Price, Justin (Heather) Wilde of Price; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Wilde, Kenneth Wilde, Brooklyn Wilde, Joshua Hansen and Calley Wilde.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law; Lisa Wilde, sister, Nan Cramer, granddaughters, Berdette Richardson and Janette Wilde

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at Huntington Cemetery. As per her request there will be no public viewing. Services are under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Louis Pestotnik Jr.

PRICE-Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and longtime friend, Louis Pestotnik Jr., age 86, passed away Oct. 17, 2007 at home after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 26, 1920 in Scofield, Utah to Louis Pestotnik Sr. and Helen Pongrantz.

Married Mary Glorioso, April 25, 1953 at Notre Dame Church in Price.

Louis served in the European Theatre during WW II where he received the Bronze Star. Served under General Patton's Third Army, where he was awarded three battle stars and a combat infantry badge. He was a life member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V.

Member of the Catholic Church and former Knight of Columbus where he was the Faithful Navigator and District Deputy. Member of S.N.P.J. Lodge # 113 since 1938. Louis was the secretary and treasurer for District 22 of the U.M.W.A. for five and a half years and a retired member of Kaiser Steel Local # 9958.

He was actively involved in the AARP where he was the chapter president of the Castle Country AARP for two years, assistant state director for Area 8, and assistant area vice president for Wyoming, Utah, Montana, and Colorado for four years. He also served as the area coordinator for 55 And Alive for many years.

Louis enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.Survived by his wife, Mary Pestotnik, Price; three sons and one daughter, Stanley (Colleen) Pestotnik, Sandy, David (Lea Ann) Pestotnik, Casper, Wyo., Denise (Tim) McCallum, Price, Gary (Cindy) Pestotnik, Layton; sisters, Helen Etzel, Price, Louise Kankelborg, Butte, Mont.; and many loving grandchildren.Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tony; sister, Mary Bezyack; and a infant sister.

Funeral Mass, Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, with the vigil service beginning at 9:30 a.m. The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to mass. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Rocky Mountain Hospice or Notre Dame Catholic Church.

Virginia Jewkes

FERRON-Virginia Jewkes, age 90, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at the Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center. Virginia was born April 23, 1917 in Tooele, Utah to Pearl Farnworth. She married Bernerd Jewkes on Dec. 19, 1923.

Virginia spent her life in Castle Dale, Salt Lake City, California and the last 41 years in Ferron. She moved to Ferron to be close to her daughter and grandchildren, always being there when they needed her. She will be remembered as a loving and giving person always doing things for others.

Virginia is survived by her three daughters: Jackie Zwahlen of Ferron, Utah, Virgie Creech and Elaine Hampton both of California. Grandchildren: Jeff and Kitty Zwahlen of Waimanolo, Hawaii, Lonie and Marcie Zwahlen of Ferron, Utah, John and Brandy Zwahlen of Fairfax, Va. and Bernerd Zwahlen of Kanadahar, Afghanastan; grandchildren, Ricky, Gloria, Mark and Steven Hampton, and Frank and Gina Griffin and Floy Creech all of California; several great and great-great grandchildren; and one very special niece and nephew, Tim and Debbie Jacobson of Norwalk, Calif.

Virginia is preceded in death by her mother: Pearl, husband Bernerd; brother and sister-in-law: Don and Aileen Jacobson; and a son-in-law: John Zwahlen.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, 720 North Center Street. A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, and a half hour Friday prior to the services. Interment will be at the Orangeville City Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

John Lister

CARBONVILLE-John Ferron Lister, age 66, passed away peacefully Oct. 19, 2007 at his home.

He was born May 30, 1941 in Duchesne, Utah to John Henry and Laree Young Lister.

Married Delilla Giles, May 23, 1957 in Salt Lake City.

John was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he retired from Western Coal after 25 years of service. He was a member of E Clampus Vitas. John loved being in the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, camping or just exploring new places with his family. He enjoyed building or tinkering with any new idea he had.

John had a fondness for country music, the old west, and he was always gaining knowledge about the past. His never ending sense of humor will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survived by his loving wife, Delilla Lister, Carbonville; one daughter and three sons, Brenda (Scherl) Wayman, Price, Dean (Debra) Lister, Price, Dell (Joan) Lister, Layton, Kenny (Debbie) Lister, Helper; brother, Lloyd (Ilene) Lister, Salt Lake City; sister, Darlene (Wallie) Vanety, Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, son, Preston; daughter, Barbara; brother, Lonnie; sister, Ruby Orn; and grandson, Johnny Melo.

Funeral service, Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, 2 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Wednesday one hour prior to service.

Dwayne Earl Wallberg

ELMO-Dwayne "Dewy" Earl Wallberg, age 40, was taken home to be with his Heavenly Father on Oct. 20, 2007. He was born July 26, 1967 in Roosevelt, Utah to Darrell LaVar and Darlene Giles Wallberg. He has four brothers and two sisters. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He married Izora "Zoey" Kay Haught Wallberg. They were married in Price, Utah, on Nov. 4, 2003. He was raised in the LDS church. He was brought up in Utah. He really enjoyed the outdoors. He worked on ranches, loved riding motorbikes, fishing, and camping. He was a certified minister and was in the process of putting his own company together. He had many dreams that he has left behind with all that love him.

He is survived by his wife, Zoey; six children; his mom, Darlene Wallberg; brothers, Melvin (Carol) Wallberg; Darrell (Julie) Wallberg; Ronald (Dellia) Wallberg; and James Wallberg; sisters, Debra (Gary) Motte; and Dona (Paul) Hazelwood; nephew and nieces, R.D. (Katherine) Blackburn; Albert (Malea) Blackburn; Gary Jr. (Colter) Motte; Teresa (Mark) Kilcrease; Tina Motte; Katherine Motte; Othen Motte; and many more great-nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Darrell Wallberg; and precious daughter, Rosie Wallberg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Wellington Stake Center, 935 East Main. A viewing will be before the services from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Wellington City Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Bill Hutson III

EAST CARBON- Bill Hutson III, age 64, died Oct. 19, 2007 in East Carbon. He was born March 4, 1943 in Rock Springs, Wyo. to Bill Hutson Jr. and Nellie Brewer.

Married Erlinda Sanchez in 1962, later divorced. They had two sons, Bill Hutson IV and David Hutson.

Bill attended East Carbon High School, then joined the U.S. Navy where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam era. He lived in San Jose, Calif. for several years and worked as an electrician and helped his mother manage apartments. He later returned to East Carbon where he worked for Sunnyside City, Sunnyside Bowling Alley, and drove the Notre Dame School Bus for the East Carbon students. He enjoyed building model cars, old license plates, Indian lore, old guns, and spending time outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his two sons, Bill Hutson IV, East Carbon; David Hutson, Price; mother, Nellie Hutson, San Jose, Calif.; sisters, Linda Thomas, San Jose, Calif.; Pat Hutson, Atascadero, Calif.; brother, Terry Hutson, San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren, Tara Holdaway, Danyelle, Breanna, Alazayea Hutson.

Bill was preceded in death by his father.

The family would like to thank special friends Vic and Ruth Herrera, Valerie Sanchez, Jim Massat, Sandy Wing, Lyle and Bonnie Lamb.

At Bill's request there will be no services.
