The Meaning of Patriotism

After the September 11 disaster the 4-H Patriots decided to learn more about the flag and their country. At the recent 4-H day camp they presented a demonstration of the meaning of the Pledge and the history of the flag. They spent time studying famous people who helped create this country such as Columbus and Jefferson. The group also spent two days before Memorial Day at the cemetery washing and putting silk roses on old headstones of those who are rarely visited. Members of the 4-H Patriots are; Courtney Tuttle, Jacob Tuttle, Alyssa Harvey, Tyler Cox, Tiffany Tuttle, Beverly Gilpin, BreAnn Russell, Courtney Reynolds, Katherine DeBry and Clair Gilpin.
