Desert Edge Christian Chapel

March 9 and 16 Pastor Carl Sitterud will present sermons entitled "How to Make Your Marriage Better". Services start at 10 a.m. at Desert Edge 500 South Main, Huntington.

Emery High Junior Prom

Emery High will be holding its Junior Prom on March 7 in the Spartan Center at 7 p.m. There will be a $1 charge per person who attends this event. All money will be donated to Ryan Thompson who is a student at Emery High and needs a life saving liver transplant.

BLM Hosts Public Meetings

The Bureau of Land Management's Price Field Office will host public meetings to discuss its Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the West Tavaputs Plateau Natural Gas Full Field Development Proposal. BLM welcomes public comments on the draft statement, which evaluates a proposal to develop natural gas resources on the West Tavaputs Plateau, predominantly located in northeastern Carbon County. m A meeting will be held in Price from 5-8 p.m. on March 12 at the Holiday Inn, 838 Westwood Blvd.

Horse trainers needed for Wyoming Mustang Challenge

Twenty-five talented horse trainers are needed for the Wyoming Mustang Challenge to be held in conjunction with the Wyoming State Fair, Aug. 15-16, in Douglas, Wyo. For additional information, contact BLM Wild Horse Specialist Alan Shepherd at 307-775-6097.

Emery County 4-H Family Photos

Emery County 4-H family photos will be taken March 28-30 in court room B in the courthouse located at 75 East Main Street in Castle Dale. This is a great 4-H fund raiser so support the 4-H. Call the extenstion office at 381-2381 for an appointment. Also call for information to receive a free packet of family photos.

River Rats Academy for Teens

For teens who love the outdoors, the River Rats Academy is now registering participants for white water summer camp June 25-28. Space is limited and partial scholarships are available. For more information visit www.canyonlandsfieldinst.org.

Festive Fridays

Festive Fridays, sponsored by Utah State University Extension are returning for the spring season. March 14-Hop On In, Easter ideas; April 18-Lotions and Potions; and May 2-Family Reunions and Picnics. All classes begin at noon upstairs in the courthouse on Main Street in Castle Dale. RSVP to the extension office at 381-2381. Each class will cost $2 for lunch and handouts. Some classes may have an added fee. Lots of ideas for spring and summer fun.

Basketball Camp

Ten Star All Star Basketball Camp is now taking applications to attend one of nine locations this summer. The camp is by invitation only and boys and girls ages 10-19 are eligible to apply. For a free brochure on these summer camps, please call 704-373-0873.

Huntington Lions Club

The Huntington Lions Club is having a Relay for Life yard sale April 26. We want everyone that's going to do spring-cleaning, that is if it will stop snowing long enough to have a yard sale, that means attic, basement, closets, sheds. Donate and help us with the upcoming Relay for Life. We will give you more information next month on the time and place it will be. San Rafael Backcountry Horsemen

Symantec Software Solutions Scholarships

Looking for Host Families

Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange is looking for host families in the local area to host a foreign exchange student. These young ambassadors are between 15 and 18 years of age and all speak English. Student's profiles will start arriving for students from various countries. Community Representatives Needed

Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange is looking for community representatives to assist in finding host families and work with the students and their families during the school year.
