Easter activities on the Swell

Emery County Sheriff LaMar Guymon reported Easter weekend was a busy one in the county. A young man died on Cedar Mountain from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Friday night.

"There were two over due people hiking in the Chute and Baptist Draw area. They were located unharmed. In the Little Wildhorse area there were some lost kids hiking. Their parents and three children ages 4-9 attempted to locate the other lost children and in their attempt, they became lost as well. All of the parties were located uninjured," said Sheriff Guymon.

There was an ATV accident where a young female was injured in the Goblin Valley Little Wildhorse area. There was also an armed robbery at the Holiday Inn Express in Green River.
