In the recent primary election, for the Republican state treasurer race, Richard K. Ellis won the race in Emery County over Mark Walker. For the Democratic House Seat #69, Christine Watkins prevailed in Green River over Grady McEvoy. District wide 855 for Watkins and 507 for McEvoy.

In the two Emery County School District board seats in the primary, in district #2 Nanette Tanner received 95 votes, Rue Ware received 37 votes, and Kelly Alton received 33 votes.

For the district #3 seat, Laurel Johansen received 94 votes, Michael McCandless received 42 votes, and Ross Huntington received 15 votes.
