Stan and Charlotte Colby, formerly of Castle Dale, announce the marriage of their daughter, Valerie, to Michael Howes, son of Roger and Ruth Anna Howes of Hinckley on Aug. 16 in the Manti LDS temple. A reception will be held in their honor on Aug. 16, from 7-9 p.m. at the American Fork Hillcrest Fifth Ward LDS Church, located at 680 North 350 West in American Fork.
Valerie graduated from Emery High School, Snow College, and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Puerto Rico. She will graduate from Utah State University in December 2008 in Spanish education and a minor in English as a second language. Michael graduated from Delta High School and served a Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Orlando, Fla. He is studying aviation mechanics at Utah State University. The couple will make their home in Logan where they are continuing their education.
