Essays From The Students Of Castle Dale Elementary

Students of Cottonwood Elementary fly the flag in the aftermath of September 11th last year.

Taylor Mann
Hi, my name is Taylor Mann. What I think about America is special to me because I love America. What I love about America is that we are free. I am proud to be an American. Every time I sing the Star Spangled Banner I smile. I would not want to be any were else right now. I feel really bad about the people in Afghanistan. No homes, not free. No food. I'm glad I was born in America.

My country is my home and liberty. America will be here until the day we die and it will be in our memory for eternity.

Tiffany Moss
I like living in America because we have freedom. Some people don't so that's why I like it. I like being an American because we have a lot of other things like we get to go to school. We get to have good food and we get to go to fun places like Lagoon or Disney Land. Girls in Afghanistan can't even show their faces or they can't put lipstick on. In the terrorist attack the US Flag got burned everybody started singing the Star Spangled Banner.

Brooke Jensen
My name is Brooke Jensen. I think America is great because we are free. Anytime I see the flag or sing the Star Spangled Banner my heart just sings. I am glad to be an American, and I hope you are too.

When 9-11 hit everything changed, even the people, but in a good way. Everybody was more proud of the U.S.A.,even more than before. We proved that if anybody or any country would attack us we will stand strong and be united, because this is the U.S.A. The land of the free and the home of the brave. I am proud to be an American.

Melanie Frisbie
September 11 the World Trade Towers got bombed down by Osama Bin Laden and some of his people. More that 3,000 people got killed. They were people from all over the world. Many lives were devastated. That's why we, the people of the United States, need to stand united and go after the people who did this to us and make them pay the consequences.
We need to make sure that they never do this again. That's why we need to stand United.

Elizabeth Jensen
I feel really lucky to live in America. We have the most awesome country in the world. I love America because we are free and we don't have a king or queen to tell us what to do. We can vote for people and vote for laws and have a voice. We can go to whatever church we believe in. We can live in whatever city we want to. We can travel where we want. We can go to whatever school we want to and be friends with whoever we want. I feel proud to be an Anmerican because some people around the world can't choose for themselves and a lot of them don't have enough food or clothing. The terrorists attacked us because they hate us but I don't hate them. I feel sorry for them. They don't understand why our country is so great or why our country will always be strong and good. But I know that our country is great. America will always be strong because it is full of strong and good people. I love America!

Nikki Rogers
America is a free land where you can choose your own church and you can have children if you want. You can choose your own career and girls don't have to wear dresses. You can travel wherever you want whenever you want. You can go to college if you want too. This is what I like about being an American.

USA-A lot of smoke rose. One of the towers fell down and the second fell one hour later and people helped with money and the nation helped clean New York City up.

I'm proud of the USA because when September 11 came a crisis happened and we are still standing proud even when we lost so many lives. No matter what the terrorists try to do we will stand proud. That feeling that we will survive makes me proud to be an American.

Brittany Lofthouse
Since 9-11 I feel more confident about things. I feel more closer to my family and friends, I love my home and no body can do anything about it.
