More than 400 acres have been planted using the new no-till drills purchased by the San Rafael Conservation District and Castleland RCandD. Crops planted to date: oats, triticale, wheat, corn, sorghum Sudan grass, fescue grass, orchardgrass, alfalfa and clover. A tour is arranged for Sept. 30 to view some of these plantings. The tour will be from 3-5 p.m. Meet at the USDA Service Center, 1090 North Des Bee Dove Road, Castle Dale. Sponsored by USU Extension Service, Castleland RCandD and San Rafael Conservation District.
