A Christmas Festival will be held at the Emery Recreation Center on Nov. 7-8. On Nov. 7 it will be from 1-8 p.m. and on Nov. 8 it will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For more information contact Jodi Magnuson at 381-2222 or Shandy Magnuson at 749-2574. There will be food, booths and entertainment.
Hunter Education Course
A hunter education course will be held Nov. 3-7 at the Emery County Recreation Center. Class will be from 4-7 p.m. each day. You must pre-register by Oct. 31. Sign up early, there is a class size limit. Participants will be required to obtain a voucher at a licensed vendor for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources prior to registering for the class. Meet Your Candidate Night
A meet your candidate night wil be held Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Ferron City Hall. Senate, commission, and Ferron area school board candidates will be in attendance to answer your questions. This event is sponsored by the Ferron Unit 42 American Legion Auxiliary.
Cleveland Elementary Halloween Festival
Oct. 31, Trunk or Treat 5:30-6 p.m., 6-8 p.m. entertainment: story telling, fortune teller, and games. For the Mom's, dinner will be available. Bake sale and silent auction. Tickets are available at Cleveland Elementary front desk or at the door.

Annual Farm Bureau Banquet
The annual banquet and business meeting of the Emery County Farm Bureau will be held Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Huntington Senior Citizens Center. Keynote speaker will be Randy Parker, CEO of the Utah Farm Bureau Federation. Ray Petersen, Emery County Public Lands Director will give a brief overview of the BLM resource management plan as it relates to local grazing permits, existing roads, etc. Information will also be presented on updated insurance programs and Farm Service Agency's first time farmer loan programs.
