My name is Janeal Dugmore. I am running for Emery County School Board in District #1, which includes Ferron and Clawson. I grew up in Price and have lived in Ferron for almost 20 years. I received a Bachelor's Degree with a background in accounting from Utah State University. My husband, Gayland, and I have three boys, and we own and operate Dugmore Appliance and Heating in Ferron. I also have experience in serving the community as a volunteer EMT for Emery County Ambulance for five years and as a member of the Ferron Fire Department Auxiliary for many years.

The school board sets the climate and establishes a vision for the schools within its district. The decisions the Emery County School Board makes influence many aspects of our community. They affect jobs, resources, and most importantly, the education of our children. As a parent and citizen of Emery County, I want to become more involved in the process that shapes such a significant part of our lives. My goal is to make myself accessible to fellow parents, district employees, and concerned citizens, and to help create a strong relationship between the district and the people of Emery County. I believe I can accomplish this by determining what issues are important to you and acting in line with the interests of the entire school community. I believe, unequivocally, in the value of education, and I am dedicated to serving the people of Emery County-especially its children-as a member of the Emery County School Board.
