Joan Kone Anderson celebrated her 90th birthday on Oct. 19. She was the third of seven children born to William Walter Kone and Johana Gillet in Tooele. She married Wilson Jay Anderson on July 14, 1937 in Salt Lake City. He passed away on Oct. 28, 1980.

She has one daughter, Lori (Terry) Rowley and five grandchildren: Brandon, Lindsay Hanson, Darron, Ashley Cranney, and Natalie Greenhaulgh. She also has four great-grandchildren.

She will celebrate her birthday with family on Oct. 25.
