Canyon View Cougars Battle Past Mont Harmon

Joaquin Ortega goes around the defender.

The Canyon View football team played Mont Harmon on Sept. 19. The football team won with a score of 19-6.

The players are: Cole Sorensen, Oswaldo Espino, Bruce Bell, Luke Stoddard, David Justice, Zac Jensen, Bryce Goshorn, Guy Judd, Jessie Shelton, Jesse Stream, Joaquin Ortega, Justin Miller, Tate Jensen, Burton Brown, Chris Madsen, Dallen Lyons, Patrick Fehlberg, Ivan Ortega, Derek Oliver, Laramie Jensen, Chase Allred, Daniel Black, Victor Rosen, Ryan Stream and David Acosta.

The Canyon View team was led with the offensive play of Justice and Jensen.

Jensen scored three touchdowns and one extra point was kicked by Ortega.

Canyon View traveled to Helper on a wet September 11 to meet the Rams.

They came away with a victory on this day and their record stands at 2-0.

The inner county rivalry of Canyon View and San Rafael will meet at the Emery High field in Castle Dale on Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.

San Rafael is playing all of their games on the high school field due to the poor condition of their field due to the drought.

The Canyon View Junior High Cougars are coached by Head Coach Eric Mortensen. They are assisted by coaches Chris and Mike Justice.

Managers are Nick Cox and Paul Arnold.
