Last week the Emery High wrestling team had matches with American Leadership Academy and Grand High and came away with huge wins. The final scores were Emery 66-0 over ALA and 58-19 over Grand. Just about every Emery wrestler that won did so by a pin against the two schools.

The win over Grand was especially satisfying because just a week ago the two schools met at the Carbon duels and Emery won by a score of 46-36. The Spartans evidently are getting a little better with practice.

Spencer Fehlberg leads the Spartans this season with a record of 9-0 and Clay Collard with a record of 11-2 is right behind. Caleb Jones and Zac Walls have records of 10-3.

Emery will host Carbon this week and the times have been switched. The JV will now wrestle at 5:15 p.m. and the varsity will go at 5:45 p.m.

Time changes are due to the choir concert which will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Emery High. The school encourages everyone to support the wrestlers and the choir concert.

Wrestling and choir concert on Dec. 17.
