Arleen O. McCrae departed this world at the age of 94, on Feb. 9, 2009 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Arleen was born Oct. 14, 1914 in Castle Dale, Utah to parents Henning B. and Minnie Christensen Olsen. She was raised with brothers Forrest, Lloyd and John, and sisters Zelila and Marie. She spent most of her youth in Price, Utah. Arleen moved to California as a young women, and married William C. McCrae, who is also deceased.

Arleen lived for many years and raised a family, in Northern California, where she retired from Stanford Hospital. She moved with her daughter and son-in-law to both New York and Virginia later in life in order to be near her daughter and family. Arleen was an active, lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by a son, William H. McCrae and daughter-in-law Bobbi McCrae of Fremont, Calif.; a daughter Suzanne Brower and son-in-law Larry Brower of Charlottesville, Va.; grandchildren Cary McCrae, Erin McCrae Brewster, Jim Lutje, and Megan McCrae Brower; and great-grandchildren Billy Dean Brewster and Brooke Brewster. Marie Draper is her surviving sister, residing in Price.

It was Arleen's long held hope to return home to Price and to be near her parents Henning and Minnie Olsen and next to her brother Lloyd. Her family is pleased to make this wish come true.

Family and friends are asked to join the family at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20 at Mitchell's Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price. On Saturday, Feb. 21, the family will gather at Mitchell Funeral Home at 1 p.m., then proceed to the Price City Cemetery for a 2 p.m. grave dedication. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
