PRICE-Kevin Michael Burke, age 49, passed away April 30, 2009 at his home in Price.

He was born Aug. 3, 1959 in San Francisco, Calif. to Patrick and Mae Fahy Burke.

Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, abalone diving and cooking. He graduated from St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco in 1977. He was active in the Little League programs in Sonoma, Calif. as a coach and field maintenance. After moving to Price, Utah in 1992 he became active with the Notre Dame Carnival and Oktoberfest, where he served as co-chairman, chairman and all around helper. He was the 1999 St. Patrick's Day Grand Marshal, and he also enjoyed helping organize the Pinnacle Canyon Academy Mardi Gras.

Kevin worked for Wells Fargo in California before going to work for the US Postal Service in 1982. He worked in the Sonoma, Calif. Post Office for several years before moving and settling in Price. He commuted to the Orem, Utah Post Office before transferring to Price where he finished his career and retired in December 2008 with 26 years of service.

Kevin was always proud of his daughters. He was looking forward to Kelli's graduation and Kari joining the Air Force. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kevin married Kim Gabossi and together they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kelli Burke-Gabossi, and Kari Gabossi, both of Price; his mother, Mae Burke of San Bruno, Calif.; brother, Brian (Patty) Burke, Daly City, Calif., sisters, Eileen (Paul) O'Malley, San Bruno, Calif., Kathleen (Mark) Sever, Concord, Calif.; dear friends, John Erramouspe, Bill Boeke, both of Price.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial service, Wednesday, May 6, 2009, 12 noon, Mitchell Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at Mitchell's Wednesday beginning at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Notre Dame Building Fund in remembrance of Kevin.
