Elder Carson James Fillmore has been called to be a service missionary in the performance department of the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. He started his mission on May 1, 2009. Elder Fillmore will be playing his clarinet in the Nauvoo Brass Band. The band also provides music for all the church productions performed in Nauvoo this summer. He will also serve as a tour guide, and accompany proselyting elders as the need arises.

Carson is the son of Carl and Elizabeth Fillmore of Lawrence, and the grandson of Glenda Worthen, Reva Fillmore and Pauline Robinson.
