Kody Merlin Powell received a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah May 8. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, received the Oblad Silver Medal and the Outstanding Senior award. He will pursue a PhD at the University of Texas under a fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Kody is married to Elisabeth Broucke and they have a daughter, Julia. He is the son of Kerry and Karla Powell, formerly of Huntington.
