Helen Jean Larsen Behunin will celebrate her 80th birthday on July. She was born in Spring Canyon, Utah on July 1, 1929 and is the only daughter of the late Jesse Christopher and Anna Behling Larsen. She has one brother, Darwin (Verdeen) Larsen of Fillmore.

Jean was raised in Ferron and Moore where she has fond memories of helping out on the ranch. She later helped her parents as they started Emery County's first nursing home in Ferron. She is a member of the LDS church and has devoted most of her life to working in the primary and compassionate service organizations. Jean has always loved the outdoors, hunting, camping and being with her family.

Jean and her late husband, Elbert Hans Behunin, raised seven children. Vickie (Vorace) Nelson, Moab, Utah; Donna (Don) Thomas - Herriman, Utah; Michael (Roxy) Behunin of Littleton, Colo; Doris (Idris) Walker of Ferron; Norman (Roxanne) Behunin of Vernal; Nolan (Teresa) Behunin of Clawson, and Nina (Reid) Bean of Richfield. She is blessed with 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family wishes their mother a happy birthday.
