Irene Hovat announces the marriage of her daughter, Christy Rich, to Shawn Baker, the son of the late Clifford Baker and Paula and Ralph Baughman.

They were married June 28 at Pioneer Park in Price. The ceremony was performed by Frank Whipple, the groom's uncle.

Christy is the granddaughter of the late John and Mary Taskalos. Shawn is the grandson of Norma Baker and Velma Dimick.

The couple is making their home in Fairbanks, Alaska, where Christy is employed at Wells Fargo Bank and Shawn works as a mining engineer for Kinross Gold Corp.
