Emery tennis has two home meets

Emery's tennis team hosted Manti and Delta last week and lost both matches 4-1. Only Emery's first doubles team of Gabby Guymon and Melanie Frisbie defeated Manti 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4.

They then defeated Delta 6-2, 6-0.

The Manti team won the 2A state championship last season.

Emery's second doubles team of Marqui Moss and Anna Turner lost to Manti 6-3, 6-2 and to Delta 7-6, 6-2.

Emery's first singles player Stevie Feuers lost 6-1, 6-1 to Manti and 6-4, 6-2 to Delta. second singles player Tonya Higbee lost 6-3, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-3. Third singles player Shantelle Hansen lost 6-1, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0.

Emery plays Richfield Thursday at home and they will travel to a tournament in St. George this weekend.
