Green River Melon Days pageant on Sept. 18

The theme for the annual Miss Melon Days pageant this year is Breakin' Free.

Five girls will vie for the title of Melon Days Queen on Sept. 18.

Nicki Arnold daughter of Randy and Kathy Arnold is a junior at Green River High School. Nicki will be doing a dramatic interpretation for her talent.

Tracy Engleman, daughter of Philip and Danna Engleman is a senior at Green River High School. Tracy will be clogging for her talent.

Axia Herrera, daughter of Rudolpho Mendez and Eva Herrera is a junior at Green River High School, she will be dancing for her talent.

Lynsey Kyle, daughter of Randy Kyle and Lois Kyle is a junior at Green River High School, she will be singing for her talent.

Cady Mecham, daughter of Trevor and Allyson Mecham is a junior at Green River High School, she will be singing for her talent.

The pageant coordinator is last year's queen, Lydia Dunham and her mother Paula.

The pageant will be held in the Green River High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission is $3 and tickets can be purchased in advance at the Green River City office or at the door that evening.

The newly crowned Miss Melon Days will reign at the Melon Days festivities and help with activities held in Green River throughout the year.
