SPRING GLEN - Our loving aunt, sister-in-law, beloved neighbor and wonderful friend, Viola Losik Skriner, age 81, passed away Sept. 8, 2009 at Castleview Hospital.

As a faithful member of S.N.P.J. Lodge #689 for 60 years, she always made time for the special gatherings at the Slovenian Home in Spring Glen and especially loved to dance the polka. She was a proud member of the Helper American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 8 and 40, Price V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and secretary of the Price Ladies of Elks for many years.

"Aunt Vi's" home and yard always reflected her personality within. Whether you were stopping by for a visit or just passing through, her yard truly reflected how vibrant and colorful she was. She was always very positive, caring, youthful and she had a zest for life. Her big smile and embrace could brighten anyones day and she always said "you can have all the money in the world, but without friends you have nothing." Vi had many many loving and beautiful friends, her two very special friends are Aldine Thomas and Tony Lessar. She loved her nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly, especially her cousin and sister-in-law Nadine and brother-in-law Henry Skriner. "Vi" had a special love for the children in her life, whether it be the children in her family or the children in the neighborhood. We will love and miss her.

Don't walk ahead of me

I may not follow

Don't walk behind me

I may not lead

Walk beside me

And be my friend.
