Emery continued struggling in volleyball as they lost two more region matches last week.

On Tuesday, Emery hosted the second ranked Richfield Wildcats and lost in straight sets and then on Thursday Emery traveled to Manti and lost another heartbreaker.

Against Manti, Emery won the first games 25-22 and 25-17 as they played pretty well in both games. Manti then prevented the shutout by winning the third game 25-17 and then Manti won in two very close games to win the match.

The final two game's scores were 24-26 and 14-16 as Emery was right there in both games but could not grab the win.

Against Richfield, Emery lost the first game 26-18, the second game 25-19 and then the final game 25-10 as Richfield continued their domination over region 12 volleyball so far this season.

Richfield leads the region with a 4-0 record. Juab and North Sanpete both have 2-1 records followed by Delta with a 2-2 record and Manti at 1-3. Richfield on the season has a record of 14-2.

The Deseret News rankings this season are Morgan first followed by Richfield with Hurricane third, Juan Diego fourth and Wasatch fifth.

Emery plays Delta this Tuesday night in the Spartan Center with varsity action starting around 6:30 p.m.
