Elder Brett Douglas Mecham has been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will be serving in the England, Leeds Mission and will depart for the Preston, England MTC on Jan. 7.
He is the son of Doug and Kathy Mecham of Huntington and the grandson of Norman and Virginia Mecham of Firth, Idaho and Richard and Myrna Jewkes of Price.
Elder Mecham will be speaking on Dec. 27 in the Huntington Third Ward Sacrament Meeting. The meeting begins at 11 a.m. in the Huntington Stake Center.
