Chandler Hurst is the first baby for 2010 for Emery County. Chandler was born on Jan. 18 at 1:40 p.m. He weighed 6 lbs and 7 oz. and was 20 inches long. He was born at Castleview Hospital in Price, but then spent two weeks in Primary Children's Hospital with stomach problems. Everything is fine now and baby Chandler is home with his parents Treasa and Whitney Hurst. Chandler was welcomed home by his big brother Travis. Treasa said, "He is still on oxygen, but is doing really good. We are enjoying having Chandler home. He is a good baby."

Whitney said, "Travis likes him, but he doesn't know what to think yet."

As the first baby of the new year for Emery County, baby Chandler was given several gifts from local merchants.
