County Budget Sert for 2002

Emery County commissioners adopted the 2002 budget for county operations during the Dec. 18 commission meeting. Revenue for the county generated from taxes and services will be $8,356,600.

A breakdown of budgets for individual offices and services provided by the county include:

Commissioners, $232,500;
Justice Court, $237,600;
Public Defender, $76,600;
Special Counsel, $20,000;
Law Library, $5,000;
Data Processing, $132,400;
GIS, $107,550;
Clerk/Auditor, $192,000;
Treasurer, $138,700;

Assessor, $249,200;
Surveyor, $15,000;
Vehicle Registration, $43,300;
Senior Citizen, $215,500;
Courthouse, $81,500;
Elections, $20,000;
Planning and Zoning, $109,600;
Public Lands, $118,750;
Fair, $51,500;
Sheriff, $1,851,600;
Traffic Enforcement, $117,750;
Wild Land Fire, $12,351;
