She was born March 23, 1920 in Helper, Utah to Thomas and Phoebe Bellows Haycock.

Vera worked at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake for one year and eventually returned to Spring Glen were she was blessed with the best family and neighbors that anyone could ask for.

On Sept. 22, 1963, she married Nick Mamanakis in Ely, Nev. Vera dedicated her life to the care of others and in 1974 she retired from Carbon Hospital where she touched the lives of many. She loved working in her yard, caring for her flowers and garden, and enjoying the special outings at the cabin in Scofield with Nick before his passing on March 1, 1998. Vera will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
