Emery County Invitation To Bid Emery County Sheriff's Training Facility May 11, 2010

Project Narrative:
	Emery County is interested in remodeling an existing prefabricated
Steel Building located at 1850 Des-Bee Dove Road in Castle Dale, Utah.
Most of the remodeling will take place inside the existing structure.
The construction process will include demolition of some of the
existing concrete slab, new concrete footings inside the existing
building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work. It will also
include the construction of a frame structure including offices,
training rooms and bathrooms. There will be a storage mezzanine on a
second level. The area of the main level construction is approximately
3,750 square feet. The total area of the existing steel building is
7,768 sq. ft.

84663.  Bid documents (Drawings, specifications & CD) will be
available from the architect's office on or after the 11th of May,
2010 for a deposit of $100.00, refundable upon return of the bid
documents within 10 business days of the bid opening.  This is the
only notice that will be given regarding this requirement.  Please do
not  procrastinate returning bid documents as there will be no
exception to this deadline. Arrangements can be made to mail bid
documents to potential bidders by contacting the architect's office.


Project Schedule:
	* Bid sets available for Contractors: 	May 18, 2010
	* Mandatory site visit: 	May 26, 2010, 10:00 am
	* Final bid due: 	June 14, 2010,    5:00 pm
	* Contractor selection by:	June 22, 2010

Submit: Bid forms shall be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m., June
14th  2010 to:

	Bids received after the deadline will not be considered and will be
returned tothe Contractor unopened.

	Bids, when submitted, must be clearly marked with the name of the
project and your company.

	All bids submitted will become the property of Emery County.

	An authorized representative of the company named thereon must sign
the bid form.

	The signature on bids will be interpreted to signify the vendor's
intent to comply with all the terms, conditions and specifications set
forth in this solicitation, unless specific exceptions are noted on
the face of the qualifications.

Criteria for selecting winning General Contractor bid:
	1.	Low net cost of contract.
	2.	Availability of bidder to give priority attention to this project.
	3.	Earliest likely completion date.

EMERY COUNTY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS, TO WAIVE
ANY INFORMALITY OR TECHNICALITY OR TO ACCEPT BIDS DEEMED IN THE BEST
INTEREST OF EMERY COUNTY.  ALL BIDS THAT MEET, EXCEED OR ARE
COMPARABLE TO MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR
CONSIDERATION.

Performance and Payment Bonds will be required on this project.
