Elder Tate Howard Shorthill has been called to serve in the Ukraine, Donetsk Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His farewell will be on July 18, 9 a.m., at the Maeser Fourth Ward Chapel in Vernal, Utah.

Elder Shorthill is the son of Howie and Kalyn Shorthill of Vernal and the grandson of Howard and Kitsy Shorthill of Orangeville and Karl and Vickie Thornwall of Sandy, Utah. He will report to the Mission Training Center on July 28.
