Emery County Chorus Concert

The combined choir includes the Concert choir, A Capella Choir, San Rafael Choir and Canyon View Choir.

The Emery County Chorus Concert was held on Dec. 5. The directors were David Bird, Canyon View Junior High and Emery High and Hans Baantjer, San Rafael Junior High. Accompanists were Marilee Cox, Emery High School, Karla Gundersen, Canyon View Junior High, and Eileen Lofthouse, San Rafael Junior High.

The concert began with Canyon View Junior High singing "Christmas Joy" by Terry Kirkland and "One Candle" by Jan Reese.

San Rafael Jr. High followed with "Issay, Issay" by Philip Kern and "Rise Up, Shepherd, And Follow" by Mark Hayes. Members of the San Rafael Chorus are: Misty Allen, Samantha Behling, Lacey Branson, Megan Brown, Jessica Campbell, Shalae Cox, Daizjionelle Daniels, Aubrey Dyches, Felicia Elliott, Candace Finch, Cherie Lynn Finch, Jacalynn Greenburg, HeatherHancock, Mattee Healy, Jane Ann Heiniger, Jasha Jinkins, Kylee Jones, Angela Larsen, TiffanyLarsen, Melissa Marsh, Moriah Mikkelsen, Nikki Mortensen, Shanna Mouritsen, Stephanie Nielson, Kendra Peacock, Karly Perkins, Shala Pitchforth, Malorie Quick, Kaitlin Reaves, Jessica Ross, HeidiScow, Heather Sitarski, Penny Sitterud, Kylie Smith, Whitney Snow, Shari Tuttle, Erica Weber, Charlotte Withers, Jesse Baker, TylerBarney, Jason Brown, James Davis, Logan Debry, William Garrison, Wayne Hatch, Lukas Hurst, Alex Judd, Andrew Nelson, Dylan Scovill, Eric Waddoups, Jeremy Wake and Mitchell Watson.

The Concert Choir, accompanied by Candace Ungerman, then sang "Roundelay Noel" by Gordon Young, "What Child is This" by Arthur Frackenpohl and "Born Neath A Star" by Cynthia Gray. Members of the Emery High School Concert Choir are Ammon Bloomfield, Majesta Burdick, Carma Colby, Alissa Cox, Tracy Durand, Marie Green, Brandi Guymon, Lacey Harward, Rachelle Holman, Roxanne Jackson, Catherine Kinoshita, Camylle Longmore, Amie Moosman, Bert Moosman, Jesse Nell, Jeremy Nelson, Amber Nielsen, Ashli Nielsen, Michelle Peterson, Cassie Randall, Savannah Roach, Misty Roberts, Eric Scott, Kristina Sherman, Karlee Thompson, Candace Ungerman and Michael Wilberg.

The Emery High School A Capella Choir then pleased audiences with "Carol of the Bells" by M. Leontovich, with student director Cadence Tuttle, "Grown Up Christmas List" by David Foster and Linda Thompson Jenner, accompanied by Cadence Tuttle, "A Manger Filled With Love" by Sally DeFord, with student flutist Jessica Tuttle, "Once in Royal David's City" by Brian D. Petersen, accompanied by Jessica Tuttle, and "Mary Did You Know?" by Mark Lowry and Buddy Green. Members of the Emery High A Capella Choir are Valery Bell, Kelsie Bohn, Julie Bunderson, Phillip Chapman, Ashley Conover, Stephanie Escalante, Kendall Gundersen, Anthony Heaton, Caleb Homer, Ellicia Israelsen, Valee Jenkins, Collin Jensen, Hannah Jensen, JD Jensen, Traci Jensen, Melanie Johnson, Betty Jones, Sarah Jorgensen, Kenny Larsen, Jordon Leamaster, Camylle Longmore, Chad Lyons, Sumiko MacDonald, Steven Malolo, Holli Myerhoff, Bethany Peacock, Jennifer Stokes, Cadence Tuttle, JessicaTuttle, Allen Waddoups, Allison Ware and BrandonWilberg.

To bring the concert to a close, the combined choirs sang "Merrily on High" by Jay Althouse and "African Noel" by Andre J. Thomas with student drummer, Jennifer Branson. The evening was filled with festive holiday sounds for everyone to enjoy.
