The San Rafael Classic Triathlon is now in its third year and growing. The event is sponsored by the Emery County Search and Rescue and they use the event as a fund raiser. A dinner was held on Friday night and race day was July 10. At 6:15 a.m. the Olympic athletes began their race followed ing bike/run and a relay race where a different person competed in each event. After the swim, the athletes came out of the water and jumped on their bikes where they pedaled up the Mohrland Road to the turn around and then back down to Huntington Lake where they ran the course around the lake. A mini-triathlon for the children was also held with a large number of children participating.
