Petition for Annexation

	A Petition for Annexation has been filed in the office of the Ferron
City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a parcel of
land belonging to Chase and Chelsea Behling located at approximately
330 East 100 South, more specifically described as follows: 

	Beginning at a point located S89.21'41" W along the north line of
section 15, T.20 S., R7 E., S.L.B. & M., 569.75 feet and S00.38'19"E
511.50 feet from the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of said
section 15, said point of beginning also being located at the
northwest corner of tax parcel 5-87-15 and on the existing boundary of
Ferron City; thence N89.21'41"E along the north line of tax parcel
5-87-15, the north line of tax parcel 5-87-7 and the existing boundary
of Ferron City, 272.40 feet more or less to the northeast corner of
tax parcel 5-87-7; thence S00.38'19"E along the east line of said tax
parcel 5-87-7 and the existing boundary of Ferron City, 1039.50 feet
to the southeast corner of said tax parcel 5-87-7; thence S89.21'41"W
along the south line of said tax parcel 5-87-7, and the south line of
tax parcel 5-87-15, 272.40 feet more or less to the southwest corner
of said tax parcel 5-87-15; thence N00.38'19"W along the west line of
said tax parcel 5-87-15, 1039.50 feet to the point of beginning. 
Containing 6.500 acres. 

	Notice of certification was received by the Ferron City Council on
September 1, 2010.  The complete annexation petition is available for
inspection and copying at the office of the Ferron City Recorder.  

	Ferron City may grant the petition and annex the area described in
the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with
the Emery County Boundary Commission through the Emery County
Commission Office at 75 East Main, Castle Dale, Utah 84513, and a copy
of the protest delivered to the Ferron City Recorder at 20 East Main
Street, Ferron, Utah 84523 by October 1, 2010.  A protest to the
annexation petition may be filed by property owners if it contains the
signatures of the owners of private real property that: (1) is located
in the unincorporated area within 1/2  mile of the area proposed for
annexation; (2) covers at least 25% of the private land area located
in the unincorporated area within 1/2  mile of the area proposed for
annexation; and (3) is equal in value to at least 15% of all real
property located in the unincorporated area within 1/2  mile of the
area proposed for annexation.
