Things are sweetening up in Green River. Recently Green River grabbed a big taste from a new ice cream and espresso shop. Desert Flavors held its Grand Opening to a crowd of local community members, including Mayor Pat Brady and Councilman Keith Brady as well as attracting the eye of many passers-by who needed something cool on a beautiful and hot desert day.
Located on the corner of Main Street and Broadway, just across from the famous Ray's Tavern, Desert Flavors serves up to 12 kinds of ice cream and six varieties of gelatto. From the chocolatey "Green River Mud" ice cream to the Crenshaw Melon Gelatto a hit at Melon Days, all dessert items are homemade and all promise to be delicious. Desert Flavors offers an ever changing variety of options to cool off in the hot summer or warm up on those cool desert mornings. Illy brand Espresso, with a large variety of hot and cool coffee drinks are always available. Fruit smoothies, soups and fresh baked pastries are also on the menu daily with more to come. Owner, Karin Walker invites you all to visit Green River and taste the difference when it's homemade.
