Recently the Division of Wildlife Resources hosted a free fishing day at the Green River State Park/Golf Course. They have planted 1,000 trout in the pond on hole two. They are planning to plant 500 small mouth bass later this fall. The cub scouts held an outdoor activity that morning where many of the boys earned their fishing beltloop and their wildlife conservation beltloop. Hot dogs, chips, doughnuts and soda were provided by The Chow Hound, Silver Eagle, WestWinds, and Cathy's. Walt Maldonado from the DNR said they hope to make this an annual event.
