Student Juried Art Show on display at USU Eastern

The Annual 2015 Juried Student Art Show will be on exhibit from April 6 - 30 at Gallery East on the USU Eastern campus Mondays through Thursdays between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Two- and three-dimensional art will be exhibited in the month-long show by Eastern students.

A reception and awards ceremony for the exhibit will be Thursday, April 30 from 6 " 8 p.m. Students, family and public are welcome to attend.

The gallery is free and open to the public during the academic year.

Softball signup

Poker Ride

A swell cure of cabin fever poker ride on April 18, registration from 8-11 a.m. Drawing for prizes will be at 3 p.m.

All participants pay $10 for the first hand. Any additional hands are $5 each.

Circus

The Family Fun Circus is coming to Huntington at the Rodeo Grounds on April 22.  Come see magic, clowns, daredevils, Motorcycle Madness Globe of Death and circus animals.  There will be one performance only at 7 p.m. The performance will lasts 1 1/2 hours. Doors open one hour before the performance. 

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children (age 2-14) in advance. The door price is $12, $10 at the gate. One child gets in free with a paid adult if they have a coupon in hand. Coupons for free children's tickets are at your local merchants and being given out at Huntington-area schools. 

Experience the Big Top like never before. There will be juggling, acrobats, hand-balancing, contortion, hula hoops, and the human cannonball.

We hope to see each and every one of you at the Circus, probably the oldest form of live entertainment on earth. Production by Clark and B.LLC.

This 12 step program is adapted with permission from AA World Services to include the Savior, Jesus Christ as our higher power. The program assists substance and behavior addicts and their families who desire a better life free of addictions.

Emery County History Books The "Emery County Centennial History Book" of 1996, written by Dr. Edward A. Geary, will now be on sale for only $6. Emery County's three Museums will be happy to fill your order while you view all the new displays in each. The Officers of Emery County Historical Society: Suzanne, Pres., Lori Ann, VP Elect., Evelyn, Sec., and Joyce, Trea., will also be happy to take orders.

"We want to get these History Books into people's hands, homes, and on their coffee tables", says Sylvia Nelson, ECCHS Committee Chairman, "instead of in Museum closets."

Emery County is one of few counties in Utah to still have any Centennial books.

Shoes for Love Organization Miss Emery County and the Shoes for Love Organization need your help in a nationwide shoe drive. So many people go without a pair of shoes. Shoes for Love will deliver the collected shoes to these humble people in Africa and South America. Please send all used shoes to school with your student. All shoes are accepted. Drop box will be in the office of your school. Final collection will be in May. This is a competition between all elementary schools in the county; whoever collects the most shoes wins a party with the Miss Emery County Royalty.
