Ethan Migliori
I live in Ferron, along with my wife, Heidi Conover Migliori, and our five children.
I am running for Emery County Commissioner because over the past several years there has not been a candidate with a strong background in business and economic development. I would like to bring my skill sets in those areas to the commission to complement those of Commissioners Horrocks and Nelson.
I work for our local college, USU Eastern. I am the Director of the Small Business Development Center for Emery and Carbon Counties. I spend the majority of the day working with small businesses and on economic development issues related to growing local business.
In conjunction with our Business Expansion and Retention program (BEAR), I have helped businesses evolve by providing them with information, infrastructure, and connections. In doing so, we have been able to help entrepreneurs create more than 200 jobs and have injected more than $2.1 million into local businesses since 2009. Our BEAR program has become the economic development model for all of rural Utah, and will possibly be the model for the entire state.
