Recently a claim surfaced that questioned whether President-elect Barack Obama was a natural born U.S. citizen - a distinct Constitutional requirement to be President of the United States. The claim insisted that because Barack's father had dual citizenship with Britain and the United States, Barack was not a natural born citizen.

Another similar claim charged that Obama had actually been born in Kenya, which also would mean that Obama could not be a natural born citizen.

Since then, the U.S. Supreme Court has decided not to hear either case, thereby dismissing the claims and reaffirming his natural born citizenship status.
